Marketing & Insights Executive

Brief Overview

We’re working exclusively with this global manufacturer as they look to add a brand-new Marketing & Insights Executive to their brilliant commercial team.

This company is the epitome of success, but they’ve also kept a real family feel about them, which is unusual for such a large organisation. Whilst turnover exceeds £1bn per annum, they have a real sense of community and are very ethically motivated.

The role

This is a brand new role for the organisation, and it’s looking to marry together a number of different marketing skills, so we’re definitely looking for someone with a flexible approach and some super all-round marketing skills.

As Marketing & Insights Executive, you’ll work with the commercial team to create digital and physical marketing collateral, create and oversee all social media posts, website updates, blogs and newsletters, working alongside a graphics manager – that’s the creative side of the role.

You’ll also be heavily involved with the analytical side of things, so you’ll review and analyse market data (Kantar or specific insight platforms), and you’ll be constantly reviewing all products sold in the UK retail environment, creating presentations of the findings and linking these to marketing data, identifying gaps in the market or new product opportunities.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who has at least a couple of years of commercial experience within a marketing role which encompasses both creative and analytical marketing. You’ll be educated to a degree level or similar and must be able to demonstrate digital marketing, social media, and creative experience as well as an understanding of analysis.

It’s not expected that you’ll be an expert in everything (or indeed anything!) but you will have the temperament to want to succeed and further your knowledge and experience, and ultimately grow your career with the company.

You’ll have quite an inquisitive nature and will be a strong communicator to liaise with external stakeholders. Experience using WordPress and Canva alongside strong MS Office experience would be very useful too. Added to this, you’ll also need a full driving license for when you’re out and about visiting stores to look at your products and those of your competitors.

What’s on offer?

The salary for the role is up to £30,000, and the role is offered on a hybrid basis, 2 days in 3 days at home (although this may increase in the future).  There’s a pension, life assurance and a massive list of other softer benefits, including a health cash plan, enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave and benefits portals covering a range of discounts.

This is a brand new role, so the opportunity to make the role your own is really strong.  This is definitely an organisation which values its people and promotes, supported by strong levels of staff retention and development.
